NOMS AND GULPS: Aranzi Aronzo (Aranzi Cafe), Gading Walk - MKG Review

As I mentioned on my previous post, I went to MKG with my friends and tried several kinds of cute desserts. One of them was the cakes at Aranzi Cafe. Gw mampir ke cafe yang lagi HITS di kalangan anak-anak muda Jakarta sekarang ini karena tergoda sama tampilan kue-kuenya yang lucu. Dari awal sih gw udah ngga set ekspektasi yang tinggi untuk makanan macem begini, nah, yang gak gw sangka adalah... rasanya bener-bener di luar ekspektasi gw! And I mean worse than expected. Sorry :(

I don't want to be harsh on my comment by saying bad things and complaints about the cake, that is so not me. So let's just see the picture instead...

Ordered 4 kinds of cakes (each costs 55K) and sadly only 2 of them warriors passed my already lowered standard :(

Jadi seperti yang bisa dilihat, gw dan temen-temen mesen 4 jenis kue. Tapi sayangnya cuma 2 yang menurut gw edible dan layak beli, itu juga dengan catatan standar gw udah diturunin sampe ke level 'oke, gw ga akan berharap banyak dari kue-kue lucu nan mahal ini, menurut gw rasanya bakal standar abis'. Yang manakah itu? Oke, I'm gonna review it one by one. Btw nama kuenya bukan nama sebenarnya ya. Abisnya gw lupa nama aslinya apaan. Pokoknya gitu aja deh.

1. The Kappa Mousse
This was by far the better one. It was green tea flavored. Gw bilang enak bukan karena rasanya green tea ya, tapi karena emang ini paling lumayan. Jadi dia itu sponge cake yang teksturnya agak kyk mousse gitu, nah di tengahnya ada kumpulan buah-buahan kayak kiwi, anggur hijau, dan apa gitu gw lupa. Rasa green tea-nya lumayan berasa deh kalo dirasa-rasain pake indera ke-6. Haha... ngga deng. Lumayan berasa lah, tapi nggak nampol. Udah gitu aja. Will I repurchase? Hmm... mayyyyybeeee...? If someone decided to treat me again here, I might choose this one, and ONLY this. And please note, in terms of someone other than me is paying for it.

2. The Chocolate Panda
This... umm... well, just OK. Not much to say anyway. Just a regular chocolate sponge cake with tons of cream covering the top. oh, and there's fruits. Iya, jadi cake di sini mostly (if not all) covered by heavy amounts of cream. Mungkin ini kali yah yang bikin gw cepet eneg? Cake ini juga termasuk yang rada lumayan deh. Tapi not recommended juga sih kalo beli sendiri.

3. The White Bunny
Let's just pass this one. Too ordinary and plain. really, nothing is special about this cake aside from the super cute bunny face. Next!

4. The Bloody Raspberry Bunny
Ahem... Ini nih ya. Pas nyampe ke meja, reaksi pertama gw adalah: "WHAT THE F...ROG???" Gw ngga tau apakah emang bentuknya selalu separah ini di Aranzi Cafe lain (CP? Atau bahkan di luar negeri?). Gw sih gak yakin. Mungkin kebetulan aja temen gw lagi apes dapet yang rusak begini. Kenapa gw kasih nama 'The Bloody Bunny' alias 'Kelinci Berdarah'? Ya karena penampakannya begitu. Bener-bener kacau, pemirsa. Jadi bentuknya sih sebenernya sama kayak cake kelinci yang putih, cuma dia tuh mousse dan rasanya raspberry. Yes, I can definitely taste the raspberry, and it might end up on the higher rank IF, the shape wasn't so horrible. Bayangin aja masa di muka kelincinya tuh ada saus raspberry beleber ke mana-mana, udah gitu mata si kelincinya meler ke samping-samping, kayak makhluk di Happy Tree Friends (kalo masih pada inget) abis main chainsaw terus kepotong mukanya sampe berlumuran darah.

That's all. The verdict: I won't bother to come back and have another cake from this place. Bukannya apa sih, kayaknya emang gak cocok aja sama selera gw. SO SORRY :( Well unless, like I said, someone else is paying. Haha...

Anyway, this review is purely based on my experience and my point of view.
