There are loads of Korean instant noodles being sold here in Indonesia lately. While mostly they were being sold on Instagram, you can also find some of them at a regular store like I did last week. So I was wandering around the market with my mom when I accidentally bumped into a store that sells Korean instant noodles. I've always been curious about them lately but never got the chance to tried those noodles before, so since it was displayed right in front of my eyes, I decided to give it a try and got 3 kinds of noodles from there. The first that I'm gonna review is this Paldo Jjajangmen.

I've tried the real jjajangmyeon before and I actually like the taste. But of course I wasn't expecting this one to taste just like the real one, I mean we know how the instant food work, right? OK, let's just head to the pictures. Oh, btw I took these pictures using my Blackberry 9800 camera (Yes, I still use a Blackberry, WHAT?) so of course they were blurry and bad.

The noodles. Looks just like another uncooked instant noodles. |
 |
The seasoning, it says 'more delicious when served warm'. You don't say. |
 |
Cook the noodles the usual way~ Lalala~ |
|
Since this is a dry kind of noodle, you should discard the water after you boil the noodles before mixing it up with the seasoning, but not too dry. The packaging actually mentioned that you better leave some (like 2-3 tbsp.) of the water so it could mix better with the seasoning.

Pour over the sauce on top of it. |
Dark brown sauce that's made from godknowswhat ingredients. Smells kind of funny though. I think it was from the black bean or something. Ooohh... Intimidating much? Haha... Nah, not me. Bring it on.
 |
Mix it well. Mix~ Mix~ Mix~ |
The noodle is springy and not too soft. Just the kind of noodle that I prefer :D
 |
Eh... What the heck is this thing...? |
I found some chunks and slices of whatever in the seasoning. I assume they were suppose to be mushrooms, potatoes, and onions. This one looks like an unidentified object but tasted like potato.

False advertisement.... (-___-) |
The final form doesn't look like what it shows in the packaging whatsoever. Duh. But how about the taste? Hmm... let's say it was edible, and it tasted just OK for me. But still of course, hands down Mie Goreng FTW! :P No, no, I'm kidding. They're incomparable.
